Willie Lock – 05/03/25

Willie Lock will be performing at Tipsy Teeze in Morgantown, West Virginia on May 3rd, 2025.

Rising from New York City’s legendary music scene, Willie Lock has become a prominent name throughout the greater United States. Armed with a distinct country-rock style that pays homage to his roots in Maryland, Indiana, and West Virginia, Willie has spent the last few years refining his sound and creating a rustic blend of multiple genres.

After an extensive five-year-run with Gentleman’s Rule, an internationally acclaimed a cappella group, Willie began writing the songs that would eventually become his debut album as a solo artist, pushing his talents and creativity in new directions to create an album that was true to his roots and own timeless style. The result of these sessions is something truly special, and have already delivered impressive singles including his critically-acclaimed ‘My Brother’ and his most recent release, the nostalgic and bittersweet ‘When We Were 17’, which debuted in the top 50 of the iTunes charts.

To date, Willie’s work has been featured by MTV, Billboard, On Air With Ryan Seacrest, and Country Swag. In addition to sharing the stage with artists such as Jake Owen, Pete Davidson, and Cuba Gooding Jr, Willie’s multifaceted career has lead to him acting in series such as HBO’s ‘And Just Like That’ and Amazon’s ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’. Naturally, his upcoming album comes highly anticipated by both fans and critics alike.

The debut album, which has been appropriately titled West Side Stories, reflects on Willie’s time living on the west side of New York City. West Side Stories is a collection of songs highlighting his experience uprooting his life from Indiana to move to the biggest city in the world, and the endless adventure that comes with it. The album’s ethos will highlight Willie’s stories of nostalgia, perseverance, love, loss, and ultimately finding his identity in his music.
